On this page you can find all necessary information for your class’s visit to DIG, including opening times and duration, pricing and payment and information and facilities.

Opening Times

10am – 5pm
Closed 24/25/26 December

When making your booking with our Reservations team, you will be offered a schedule with a time of entry to DIG. We ask that you arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow time to complete paperwork and to store any bags.

Your visit to DIG will last approximately 1 hour.

Workshops last approximately 45 minutes.

These prices take effect for all educational visits booked from September 2019.

*One teacher free with every 6 child places booked.
**Schools do not have to visit all three, four or five attractions in the same day.

Workshop Prices (charged in addition to attractions admission)

To complement your visit to DIG, choose from our fun archaeology-themed workshops, designed to spark your pupils’ interest and develop their knowledge. Our full workshop offer for DIG can be seen here and is priced as follows:

The following payment methods are accepted:

In advance: over the phone with our Reservations team
On arrival: by cash, card or cheque
By invoice: after your visit (UK addresses only)

Please bring your booking confirmation with you when you arrive for your visit.

Lunch Spaces

DIG has a designated lunchroom and lunch garden for school groups, each with space for 35 people. There is no cost for a lunchroom or lunch garden booking.

Please note that pre-booking is essential.
